PhD Students. PhD students admitted to the department are offered five years of full funding (subject to satisfactory degree progress.) This includes tuition plus fellowship or salary, and four summers of support. (Outside support sources such as Mellon, Fulbright or NSF fellowships are included in this funding, and do not increase the years of funding.)
A PhD minor in Aeronautics and Astronautics may be obtained by completing 20 units of graded, graduate-level courses in the Aero/Astro Department, following a program (and performance) approved by the department’s Director of Graduate Studies. Seminars and independent study (research) units do not count toward the required 20 units.A traditional accounting background such as CPA is not required. II. Course Requirements. All required courses must be taken for a grade (not pass/fail or credit/no credit). Exceptions are made if the required course is offered pass/fail or credit/no credit only.
